Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Addept Media, LLC ("addept", "we", "us") collects, how we use it and who we share it with. It covers the addept.io website and the addept ad unit that runs on our partners' websites.

Information we collect

When you contact us

If you fill in a form on addept.io, we collect what you enter: your name, email address, company, role, website, your message, and the details you choose about your site or campaign.

When you visit addept.io

Like most websites, our servers record basic technical information with each request, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies on addept.io.

When you see an addept offer on another website

Websites that partner with us ("publishers") can show offers from our advertisers using the addept ad unit. When the unit loads, we receive technical information such as your IP address, device and browser, the page it appears on, and which offers you view, click or accept.

A publisher may also choose to pass us information it already holds about you so that the offers you see are relevant and can be completed easily. This can include your name, email address (or a scrambled, "hashed" version of it), phone number, postal address, date of birth, age and gender. Publishers are responsible for telling you about this and getting any consent the law requires before they share it with us.

How we use information

• To reply to enquiries and contact-form messages, and to set up publishers and advertisers.
• To choose which offers to show, display them and measure views, clicks and conversions.
• To pay publishers and invoice advertisers for the results we deliver.
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security problems.
• To maintain and improve our services.
• To meet legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

Who we share it with

• Advertisers. When you click or accept an offer, we share the information the advertiser needs to provide the offer to you and to confirm the result, such as the details the publisher passed to us.
• Publishers. We report results to publishers, such as a conversion and the amount earned, using the publisher's own reference for the visit.
• Service providers who host our systems or help us run the business, under obligations to protect the information.
• Authorities and others when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.
• A buyer or successor if our business is reorganised, sold or merged.

Depending on where you live, some of this sharing may be treated as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or as targeted advertising, under local law. You can opt out by sending a privacy request through our contact form.

How long we keep it

We keep information for as long as we need it for the purposes above, including to settle payments and resolve disputes, and then delete or anonymise it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of information sent to us.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information, to opt out of its sale, sharing or use for targeted advertising, and to appeal our decision on a request. To make a request, use our contact form and choose "Privacy request". We will need to verify your request, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Children

Our services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

International visitors

We operate in the United States. If you use our services from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the effective date above. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
